The Third Sunday of Advent

The Third Sunday of Advent is also called Gaudete Sunday. Named from the Latin word "gaudete” meaning "rejoice,” it marks a moment of joy and hope during the period of preparation for Christmas, signifying the nearness of Christ's coming.

In his reflection on today’s Scripture readings, Finn Regan ‘26, reflects on the joy that we can bring to others. Inspired by today’s Gospel, Finn encourages us to remember Jesus’ call to help strengthen and walk with those who are in need. This Advent, let’s pray for our ability to seek, create, receive, and treasure joy in our lives.
