Financial Foundations: A Graduate Student Financial Literacy Series

Build the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions—both during graduate school and throughout your career.

Financial Foundations is a six-part workshop series designed specifically for graduate students preparing for life beyond their degree. Each one-hour session is led by a professional with expertise in the featured topic, providing practical guidance, real-world strategies, and opportunities to ask questions in a supportive environment. Topics include: budgeting and financial planning, negotiating salary and benefits, home/condo purchasing, investing basics and retirement planning.

Graduate Student Writing Support Group Learning Outcomes:


Students who attend the Graduate Student Writing Support Group will be able to:

  1. Create a plan for writing their theses.

  2. Describe their writing behaviors and how it is impacted by their lifestyle.

  3. Determine at least one way they can adjust their writing strategy, including but not limited to developing realistic writing goals.
